In the Deep South, the Fish Fry and crawfish boil is never simply a meal, it is always an event! Some of my favorite memories revolve around fish fries and crawfish boils with family and friends. Fifty years ago I was first introduced to crawfish boils in Shreveport, LA. My father, who was a pastor, would do a crawfish boil for our church each spring. I vividly remember covering the tables with newspaper, dumping the boiled crawfish down the middle of the tables, and as they say, it was ON!

Loving to fish since before I can even remember, the reward for a good day on the water was a great evening frying fish. Being in Louisiana, we generally didn’t just fry fish, we fried fish with flavor! After moving from Louisiana 40 years ago, I discovered fried fish is universally a favorite, but quite honestly flavor seemed to be an afterthought at best. Since then, I’ve been on a pursuit to perfect the ideal blend of spice and batter. I’m proud to say that we think we have done it!

Our Experience

We want to share it with you and your friends. After 35 years of pastoring and putting on Fish Fries and Crawfish boils for our churches, we know what an event should look like. We also know the kind of excitement, memories, and good vibes that are produced. Needless to say, we love to have a good time and for us, Frying fish and Boiling Crawfish are what we know best!

The Best Fried Fish I’ve Tasted!

Absolutely “amazing” fried fish, crawfish and shrimp reminds me growing up when I was down south. JD‘s fish batter is like nothing I’ve ever tasted. I grow up in the Ozark mountain lake area, fishing and many shore lunches, fried fish and fried potatoes and onions. I thought our family recipe was great. I have to admit, JD’s fried fish is better, amazing flavor. Now, I wish I would’ve used JD for family and business activities and functions. On a side note, JD’s business model is a great, relatively inexpensive, activity for a small to mid-size business. In my opinion, the quality of the product and JD’s service is worth every penny of investment in my business and or family.
